About Avondale

Avondale, Arizona was first incorporated in 1946 and ever since the 1980s, this Phoenix suburb has experienced significant growth. In recent years, Avondale has been coined a “bedroom suburb” as many of the nation’s most prestigious homebuilders have been hard at work transforming this one-time farming community into a thriving city with subdivisions and retail centers.

Buyers seeking new homes in Avondale can turn to builders such as Courtland Communities and Richmond American Homes for single-family houses for sale that are priced in the upper $100s. Residents have access to several parks, including Friendship Park, Festival Fields Park, and Fred Campbell Park. Furthermore, living in Avondale provides for easy access to the Interstate 10, Loop 101, and Loop 303 freeways, which conveniently connects residents to other areas of the Valley.

Avondale public schools are operated by the Littleton Elementary District, the Avondale Elementary District, and the Agua Fria Union High School District. High schools in the area include Agua Fria, La Joya Community, and Westview.

As with much of central Arizona, Avondale has a desert climate with sunshine year round thanks to high pressure and steady descending air.

Avondale’s attractions include The Pierce Dungeon museum, Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, India Garden restaurant, Karate for Kids, and Life Time Fitness gym to name just a few.
